Best-selling authors Nicholas Sparks and James Grippando will headline the 2011 Nick Linn Lecture Series sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Collier County.

Sparks has sold millions of sentimental romantic novels that were also made into hit movies, including Dear John, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and Nights in Rodanthe.

Grippando is a lawyer turned novelist best-known for his series of thrillers featuring Miami criminal defense attorney Jack Swyteck, such as The Pardon, Beyond Suspicion, and Last to Die.

The partial author lineup for 2011 was announced by Linda Fasulo, executive director of the Friends of the Library. Exact dates and venue, along with additional authors, will be announced later, she said.

Tickets for the 2011 series will go on sale March 15 at a discounted price to members of the Friends, and to the general public on Nov. 1.
